Several design  directions were explored according to concepts in the book or on the author’s website. In the end, in part due the author’s wish to incorporate a heart shape, I submitted a design utilizing, with substantial adjustments to emphasize the subject matter, stock photography of a heart-shaped crystal with bokeh background.

Several typography approaches were explored in order to find the right balance of modern without sacrificing the serious intent on the part of the author in presenting his message.
